Shade cells to create a single connected region matching number clues. Each clue shows consecutive runs of shaded neighbors. No 2x2 all-shaded blocks allowed.

What do the numbers mean in Tapa?

Each number represents the length of a consecutive run of shaded cells in the 8 surrounding cells. Multiple numbers mean multiple separate runs.

Goal: Shade the correct cells to satisfy all number clues.

Each numbered cell tells you about the shaded cells in its 8 surrounding neighbors.

Number Clues: A single number like "3" means there is one consecutive run of 3 shaded cells among the 8 neighbors.

Multiple numbers like "1,2" mean separate runs: one run of 1 and one run of 2, with at least one white cell between them.

Connectivity: ALL shaded cells must form ONE connected region (4-directionally, up/down/left/right).

No isolated groups of shaded cells allowed.

No 2x2 Blocks: You cannot have a 2x2 square of all shaded cells anywhere in the grid.

At least one cell in every 2x2 area must be white.

Controls:

Left-click / tap: Toggle shade (black)
Right-click / long-press: Mark as white (dot)
Clue cells (with numbers) cannot be changed
