Build a Still-Life
Each puzzle shows a grid with some cells already live (yellow) or empty (gray). Tap any blank cell to flip between empty and filled. Your goal: make the entire grid a still-life — a configuration that, after one GoL step, looks exactly the same.
•GoL rule: Live cells with 2 or 3 live neighbors survive. Dead cells with exactly 3 live neighbors are born. Everything else dies.
•Goal: A still-life is a grid where applying GoL once produces the same grid.
•Tip: Look for blocks (2×2 filled squares), tubs (4 cells in a + shape), and ponds (8 cells in a hollow 4×4).
Tap any cell that is not given (yellow or gray cells with a locked feel). Each tap flips that cell between empty and filled.
Use the Check button to see how many cells violate the still-life rule. The goal is zero violations — when the entire grid is a still-life, you win.
Press Hint to reveal one correct cell (you have 3 hints per level). Undo reverts your last change. Reset clears your progress on this level.

+ standalone as siblings — AdSense creative inflates 0->280px inside in flow, pushes downstream content. Fix: div becomes position:relative + contain:layout paint style + overflow:hidden + max-height:280px; faint "Sponsored" label inside; becomes position:absolute with height:100% so its creative overlays on the div without affecting flow. Same pattern as chess/ R362 proven (CLS 0.20 -> 0). -->
