How do you play Spades?

Spades is a 4-player trick-taking card game. Players bid on how many tricks they'll take, then play 13 tricks. Spades are always trumps. You must follow suit if possible. The game is played to 500 points.

What is a nil bid in Spades?

A nil bid means you're betting you won't take any tricks. If successful, you earn 100 bonus points. If you take even one trick, you lose 100 points.

What are bags in Spades?

Bags are overtricks - tricks you win beyond your bid. Each bag is worth 1 point, but accumulating 10 bags costs you a 100-point penalty.
