📖 How to Play Hexxagon

Hexxagon is a hex-grid territory game. You are RED; the AI is BLUE. Goal: have more pieces than your opponent when the board fills up.

1. Select a piece

Tap one of your red pieces. Available moves light up on empty cells.

2. Clone (green dot) — distance 1

Place a new piece next to yours. Your original stays. Great for growing your army.

3. Jump (yellow dot) — distance 2

Move your piece two cells away. The source cell empties — use it to dive deep into enemy territory.

4. Convert enemies

After you land, every adjacent blue piece flips to red. Chain big captures to swing the score!

🎯 Strategy tips

• Corners are safe — a piece in a corner can never be converted.
• Edges are strong — fewer adjacent enemies can reach you.
• Don't over-clone next to the enemy — they'll convert your new piece.
• Mobility matters — keep move options open; a player with no moves must pass.

🏁 End of game

The board fills (or both players pass). Whoever has the most pieces wins!
