How to Play Hearts
1The Goal
Avoid taking points! Hearts are 1 point each (13 total) and the Queen of Spades is 13 points. Lowest score wins when someone hits 100.
2Passing
Before each hand, select 3 cards to pass. Direction rotates: Left, Right, Across, then no pass.
3Playing Tricks
The 2 of Clubs leads the first trick. You must follow suit. Highest card of the led suit wins the trick. No hearts or Queen of Spades on the first trick.
4Hearts Broken
You can't lead hearts until someone plays a heart off-suit (hearts are "broken").
5Shoot the Moon
Take ALL 13 hearts plus the Queen of Spades and you get 0 points while everyone else gets 26!
