How to Play Dots and Boxes

Objective

Capture more boxes than your opponent by drawing lines around dots. The player with the most boxes when all boxes are claimed wins the level!

Drawing Lines

Click or tap between two adjacent dots to draw a line. Lines can only be horizontal or vertical, never diagonal.

Capturing Boxes

  • When you draw the fourth line around a square of dots, you capture that box
  • You score 1 point for each captured box
  • After capturing a box, you get another turn

Chaining

If you capture a box and it gives you the fourth line of another box, you capture that one too and keep your turn! Chain multiple captures for big scores.

Winning

Capture more boxes than the AI to win the level and unlock the next one. You must win to advance!

Levels

There are 20 levels with increasing grid sizes (3x3 to 7x7) and AI difficulty. Complete them all!
