How to Play Chinese Checkers
Objective
Be the first player to move all 10 marbles from your starting triangle to the opposite triangle of the board.
Movement
- Click a marble to select it
- Move to any highlighted adjacent empty position (step move)
- Or jump over an adjacent marble to an empty position beyond it (jump move)
Chain Jumps
- After a jump, if another jump is possible from the landing position, you MUST continue jumping
- Chain multiple jumps in one turn for strategic advantage
- Unlike checkers, regular steps are optional - you can choose to move only one step
Winning
The first player to fill all 10 positions of their target (opposite) triangle wins!
Player Configurations
- 2 players: opposite triangles
- 3 players: alternating triangles
- 4 players: two pairs of opposite triangles
- 6 players: all triangles
